Dr. Rockford G. Yapp is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has treated thousands of patients, performed over 25,000 endoscopic procedures. His training includes medical school at University of Nebraska Medical Center, with training at Cornell University; Cook County Hospital Trauma Center; Navajo Nation, Shiprock, New Mexico; Narobi, Kenya. He completed his residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, attended Yale University for his G.I. and Hepatology Fellowship. Dr. Yapp also earned his Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) in medical research and medical outcomes, as he worked as an attending at Yale.
Dr. Yapp has been principle investigator in numerous regional and national studies dealing with digestive diseases, and has participated in several National Institute of Health (NIH) Consensus Conferences. He is a Clinical Associate at Northwestern University Division of Hepatology and is one of the first Gastroenterologists in Illinois to be honored by the American Gastroenterological Association as a AGA Fellow.
